Starting to grow next month need some ideas.

Next month I will/should be getting an apartment and I plan to start growing. I will probably grow 1-3 plants the first go around. I was planning on going the auto flowering route but I don't know the light cycles for them.
What would you guys recommend in all aspects of growing? I need a plant that I can fit in a large closet and that doesn't have to much sent. I will be getting a carbon filter though.
I would like a list of What I need to start growing :D
Soil/Hydroponics??
type of seed?
etc?

I did haha:D I just didn't know if anyone knew a great setup for $600.
My main thing is getting a plant with a low amount of odor but a decent yield. It doesn't have to be auto flowering but I just heard they were easy to start with.
 
well yeh and no.. umm, would u be planning on keeping a mother?
u need a ball park of wot ur trying to do, wot media u want to grow in, u wanna handwater?.. like 600 bucks u could do many things..
most weed smells, but prob not as bad as ud think.. but id steer clear of white strains like white widow, ak 47,white russian..
get on a seed distributors website and read up on flower descriptions
 
I probably won't have a mother. I'll just clone every once and a while. I don't have two separate grow rooms to have a mother. Well I don't care if I water it or not haha. Would you reccomend Dieselryder?? I need the easiest medium for a closet. I don't really have a preference.
 
It's not an auto but northern lights has no stink. I personally grow DWC hydro style which is just a res with air stones in it. You may wish to think about a cabinet grow. they are much easier to contain the smell. A sterilite 4 shelf storage cabinet or something would work. even a grow tent would probably fit into a large closet no problems.

this would give you alot more options on intakes, exhausts, smell control, ect.
 
id reccomend canna coco, canna a+b coco nutes, and the only other additives ull need is a bottle of canna pk13/14 to use for 1 week during flower..
Germ ur chosen seed between 2 bits of napkin paper, drop it in the coco (in a pot lol) and away u go, oh and put a light over the top of it.. u dont even nedd ventialtion if u can just leave the area open
 
My idea for you would be to read threads started by people with 10,000 posts or more. Those people usually have their shiite stickied. Otherwise you are bound to get atleast one d00d who has never even grown a seedling pumping BS into your ears.

The "hard" way (find the information yourself by looking through old posts) ends up being the easy way.

Well thank's for the help. Think I'm gonna get a bubbleponics system and some northern seeds. Gonna make a carbon filter. Thanks for the ideas on nutes though. Those nutes are still fine for that correct?
 
um if I make a carbon filter do I just put it on the back of the fan and blow air out of the closet??
