Starting to buy equipment HELP NEWBIE

Alright, i have chosen the hydroponic way as ive heard very good things from it. Ive found this set on ebay :

if i buy this, ofcourse along with nutes, and correct soil mix etc would i be able to use this for my whole grow. im only looking to grow 2 plants, and thats it. Im also wondering if a 400W hps will be ok from the start? or would i need to get a lower light

yes you can use for the whole grow.

a 400w light will be fine, best to buy an MH bulb for vegging period and a HPS bulb for flowering.

they also sell individual grow pots on ebay, that come with the lids, individual immersible air pumps that are whisper quiet, and the clay pebbles - i think they are sold by starfish supplies. Got bought one for a present and am very impressed so far. Because the plant is getting that much more air to the roots the growth has been amazing. Have you considered DWC at all?
