starting them out 24/0 light schedule?

If i start plants out on 24/0 hour lighting schedule with my 150watt cfl's for 3 weeks then throw them into a different room which consists of 2 400 watt halide light on a 18/6 light schedule for 1 month. Then from there put them in 12./12 to flower. The question i have is switching from 24 hour lighting into 18/6 wont trigger the plants to flower right? I'm not sure if its bad to switch the sched. 3 diff. times.

na dawg u all good jsut dont do it to muck doe cuz it might cause it to turn hermi but not if u just gonna do it like u want to ull be good

I personally think 24/0 is not a good thing. 18/6 from seed or clone until she/he is as big as you want (remembering that they will double their size while in flower) then move to 12/12. Thats what I do and its never failed. But to answer your question, switching from 24/0 to 18/6 will NOT trigger your babies to flower. Here are a couple pics from my last grow. They are The Third Dimension by TGA, got them from hempdepot, and I highly recommend TGA genetics and buying from hempdepot. Vegged 8 weeks under cfl's on an 18/6 schedule from seed, switched to 12/12 and flowered 7 weeks under 250w hps.

Alright thanks for the advice but 1 of the reasons i wanted them on 24 hours was due to the fact the room stays at 60 degrees so i need the cfls to bring the temp up.

So what are you gonna do about the cold when you switch to 18/6 or 12/12? You know you could go straight 24/0 to 12/12 if you wanted, it wouldn't hurt anything.

i have 2 400 watts MH which staying around 77-80 in my vegation room.

cfls aint gonna do much for temps, going up atleast. and i might use 20/4 for the first week atleast, to allow a little root growth at night

for your cfls id use 20 on 4 off just because plants love at least some rest.

Alright thanks for the advice- I might as well just keep it 18/6 and think of a diff. way to bring the temps up

Haze, just buy a piece of heat....a small strip heater with themostat will do the trick.

its fine to keep the lights on 24-0.it keeps the plant bushier

i agree, i keep my babies in 24hr light for atleast the first week then switch over to 18/6..12/12 . Im not sure but i think it helps the seedlings break through into the light a little more :peace:

I'm sure he was talking about a heat mat. The mat and thermo will run you about $60. Well worth it. From what I have read the clone/seedling root zone should be about 74 deg. :joint:

Perfect im gunna run these bulbs for 24 hour for the firest 3 weeks at least then...after a day or 2 the room should heat up to 74 im hoping. It very small area so it should be fine.
