Hello,

My goal is to start a Ebb and flood systeem soon.
I 'm planning to start growing in clay pebbles.
My flood table wil be 1x1 meter.
How big does my reservoir needs to be? im planning on something like 50 liters, but if more is better i
wil do that.
My pump can handle 1000-2000liters an hour.

Because im a beginner on a thight budget i would like to start with cheap PH-EC testers.
Wich one do you reccomend?
I buy alot of the growstuff second handed, but i've read that ph meters can drie out.

ive never done a flood n drain with those clay balls as they float in the water, so be carefull how much water/nute solution you use.
i went for a 8 foot NFT 501 in the end

for your 1x1 table you will need 10liter for each centimeter you want to flood
so if you want to flood your claypebbles 10cm ..provide 150liter reservoir minimum ..
i use 20euro ec tester and 25euro ph tester, it works as it should no need for fancy testers

150L? that sounds like alot of water to me.
My table itself can hold 100liters(without that clay pebles, the also fill in alot of volume)
so its x 1.5?
It sounds like alot of water to me.

hum .. i though you wanted to flood pots full of clay pebble

in your configuration flooding a few cm can be optimal, so you can feed several times a day

go with 100liter then

don't undersize your reservoir. you will need to top and adjust ph/ec too often
