start seedlings indoors or outdoors? what do YOU do?

i've always prefered to start them indoors, so they're nice and strong when they go outdoors, but this year i dont have that wonderful option. i was just wondering how many people actually start them outdoors? im sure it can be just as successful, i've seen some friends do it.

What I would tell ya if ya cant start indoors is build a coldframe to help protect them in their earliest stages.
