Start of week 2 flowering, any input?

So, I'm a full week into flowering now entering week 2. These are my girls, all over 28", after a feeding and a kelp bath, and then back in their room. Any input? Advice? Expectations?

Damn, they looking good! Did you top, fim or anything? Were they solely grown indoors? It looks like it since the bottom branches stretcccccch haha Good Luck! :peace:

I topped em all twice, and they have been completely indoors. I've got em all around a bare 1000w MH now so not just the canopy gets light it's the whole plant, and they get rotated 1/2 way each day so it evens out.

Well you do know Metal Halide is blue spectrum light right? The cannabis flowering state requires more Red than Blue. Which would be a High Pressure Sodium you'd need. Not sure if you have laying around, do you?

I do know that the MH is more blue spectrum but this is also a very low K rated MH bulb, it's only 3700k, I've got a HPS but it's only 400w. I'm honestly curious what the difference's will be in the final product, I've read that the MH produces more UV which forces the plant to excrete more resin to protect itself, so even if the nugs are a bit smaller they could be more potent?

You know I am not sure with cannabis... Would be interesting to shove the 400 Watt HPS in there as well %40 Red spectrum and %60 red.. Up to you but i'd like to see results in my lifetime :P

I'll try that with my winter grow, it would get way to hot in my little room if I threw in another light. As it is, when I finish up this grow I want to see if I can separate this ballast from the bulb so I can move it outside my room and try to get the temps down even more. I've got 2 x 400w MH and 1 x 400w HPS, maybe I'll just use those on my next grow.

Well, expectations of dank! :0)

Nice happy looking ladies.

HPS is good for flowering, but 1000W MH will make great buds.

Good luck,

JD

P.S. The debate over MH vs. HPS rages on. I have not seen it settled, and
have to admit that there is a certain logic to the idea that it was to reflect
UV that the resins were evolved...

I'm not even really sure what strain they are, I got the seeds from one of the ladies in my last grow which was from the Canadian Medical seed dispensary. I'm not sure if she got pollinated by something else in the area or by one of the males from that grow, but I yanked them out at first sight of balls. I used the HPS on my last grow, so I'll let you know what the difference is going 100% MH this time.
