ahh, spectacular, I got a nice wasabi kick, I was dipping my sushi in a nice thick green-pastey- face-dripping wasabi, washing it down with sapporos, plus I know the owner of the restaurant and he was matching me with shots of sake after closing time, so I had to go late-night shopping, and then take my dog for like a 90 minute walk afterwards, until I felt ok to drive home
whew..
damnit... now I want Monday sushi..
I swear they put heroin or cocaine in those rolls to make me crave them.

ah, to be honest it's gone a lil downhill, rent has skyrocketed in the last ten yrs, san jose has "infiltrated"..
so the old-school santa cruz vibe is essentially gone and dead, downtown is all different, the roads are all slammed crazy... even year long.. it used to get mellow and the locals could sorta "exhale" right around October or so, but now it's a year long cluster fuck..

oh it's the best, plus at that point any residual back-aching from wrenching on cars is dulled via the alcohol
a win-win-win-win
sushi, alcohol, dog walk, and no back-ache
plus I like to watch bill maher on HBO whilst buzzed afterwards
