SSC Strawberry, Initial Impressions

Bought the 3 varieties that the Saskatchewan Seed Company offers, from HD last year.

Tried their CBD Green Beach and ended up culling a really stretchy and unimpressive looking plant partway through flower due to space issues.

A few months back I popped a pair of Strawberry to get a first impression and ended up with one female that is currently hanging. It was a small plant and will not have a big harvest but looks good, decent indica structure, not too leafy or dense, lots of frost, sweet berry smell. I was going to give it a full nine weeks but a tester taken on day 60 had plenty of amber so down she came.

Just snipped up a small piece of the tester after it's had a day to dry and put it in an Arizer Air. I'll have a better idea of the subtleties after a wake-n-bake , but even after a fair amount of earlier consumption of other strains, the Strawberry hit me pretty hard. Taste was nice. It's isn't quite dry enough yet to smoke, I'll try that in a few hours.

No complaints about a $25 pack of seeds. I was experimenting a bit with this plant, so I'm hoping next try will produce something bigger.

Still have their Purple Kush to try at some point.

Anyone with any SSC experience, feel free to contribute. Anyone else wish to comment, jump on in. :bigjoint:

Smoked the rest of the tester after it dried out. The berry and the sweet are still there but they are undertones to a strong kushy taste and smell. The stone is powerful and lasting.
I had a bowl of C99 afterwards and the combination is great.

The rest of the plant is still hanging and days away from being ready for the jars but it is super sticky and fragrant. I have to clean my fingers after doing a dryness check.
My opinion of this strain is rising. The only real complaint was quantity and I'm willing to accept that may well have been my fuckup. It's definitely worth some more of my time.
