Squishy and Soft?? Hope not!!

Hey I just harvest my first grow yesterday and I got 2 boxes with a combined amount of 4 plants (Aurora, AK-48, Ice, and Blackjack) in my dual sliding door closet with a fan blowing in 1 crack and venting out of the other.They were grown with fox farm nutes in an ebb and flow botanicare system under a 600w hps system. My buds were extremely hard and dense when I cut them down and I expected them to be wet after the initial cut and do all kinds of crazy shit during the dry/cure. Are the buds supposed to stay mildy dense or squishy like cotton balls. I mean by the looks of the buds they are extremely flame and funk but I cant figure out if they get denser and denser as they dry.

I am fairly sure they will harden up after you dry it out fully and cure it. Pics?

I would take some pics but I just put the boxes back into my closet for the night. More journal full of all my pics was... misplaced.. lol so I didnt have the urge to take any pics during harvest and figured Ill start a fresh journal for my next grow. Heres 1 of the AK-48 colas below. Hope my friend doesnt mind that I posted a pic of him but w.e lol its the only 1 I have on my phone atm.

fact is I feel like alot of the nugs are to squishy even thought its only goin on its 3rd day of dry time. I dont want to get a 1000w for my next grow but maybe I didnt have the 600 close enough to the buds lol I dunno. Just hope they graduate from feeling like cotton balls to a more firm nug feeling. I am shooting for 7-10 days of drying hang time then 7-14 days of jar cure time on a 12/4 burp cycle. Hopefully they get rock hard like they were before I cut them down.

from what ur describing happens to me as well i cut there nice and tite for bout 1 to 2 days. then sponge up and start drying up and tightn up again. i didnt run into any probs, i think this happens because the plant keeps developing for 2 days after chop then realizes its dead and goes limp. im sure ur already keepin a close eye on it give it another day see what happens

Dont break out the credit card just yet. What you are experiencing is normal for a first dry/cure. i can't say it enough, be patient. monitor your RH as it dries in the room and again as it cures in jars and one month from harvest you should be AOK.
