square pot vs round pot

Is there any ( growth / yield ) difference from using different shaped pots?

Sure weed likes deep pots, but im talking the shape of the sides, ie : round or square.

I'm sure that you could fit slightly more square pots into a smaller space, but other than that are there pro's / con's about using one or the other?

* Im mainly looking for answers regarding soil growing *

yes you got it you can fit more plants under an area with sq. pots....

Assuming they are roughly the same size, the only real benefit you'll see is more efficient use of floor space with the square pots.

Pro-pack them together like crazy. Con-makes it a bitch to rotate plants.

square pots have more area within themselves giving more room for root growth, therefore nicer plants
