Square One Genetics

Were my testers of ocean fruit that I just did that were not special at all not the usual with square one? I have Nana glue and wedding c x BBC and honestly I don't know if I'll even bust them now. Should I give them another chance?. I just really don't like fems at all. Every time I get suckered into buying them they are subpar. I mean it's good and everything, but It just looks like everything else everyone does. Most things I do I don't see anyone do. That's what I'm looking for.

I have sampled a few of his so-called big hitters from friends who were dumb enough to buy a box set, and they are all extremely low potency. When I look at some of the lineages it is truly comical - literally all the same. A bunch of peanut butter breath and reversed purple punch pollen chucks. So he kept one male from a thug pug pack and that is it lol. It is pretty easy to spot a "breeder" who got fame from somebody else's social media efforts. Stick to old school methods; nobody who has clout in the seed making game is saying a god damn word about this wannabe titan, that's for sure!

Anyone have some info on the Red Hot cookies Titan used in his most recent Robinhood drop? The only RHC I can find online is from Sweet Seeds. Is that what he used for his crosses? That seems surprising to me, but I can’t find any other info on Red Hot Cookies

I doubt Titans RHC are related in anyway to sweet seeds RHC. I have ran a couple strains from sweet seeds killer Kush and Tropicana poison grew three seeds/ phenos from each strain and was not impressed at all. The Tropicana poison 80%,of phenos flowers are sopossed to turn colour pink/ purple all three phenos I grew had no colour at all just regular green buds. Also all plants of both strains just were nothing special not great quality medium potency, straight up mids. There’s so many seedbanks so many breeders there’s many strains with same names totally unrelated. Infact some newer growers don’t understand that for example a Whitewidow at Barney’s farm is totally different than Whitewidow at bc bud depot. Many people actually think that all Whitewidows are the same. I see post all the time someone growing say a purple punch and people mentione oh I grew that before your going to love it when they got there’s from a totally different seedbank.,what it boils down to is names sell and pretty much every seedbanks version of a strain is there own and not related in anyway to others. Personally I’m not to impressed with thc titan I never grew his stuff personally but a friend who I seen his garden many times did and I also smoked. I have seen many people on social media people growing his stuff, most his gear is nice and terpy lots of trichomes but a lot of the genetics have small buds low yields. I see a lot of fire these days but little buds. If it dont have the genetic potential to get atleast fair size buds it don’t tick all the box’s for me for a almost perfect score 10 so to speak. Seen to many strains from thc titan that just don’t yeild good that’s a big let down for me. There are many great strains out there that do tick all the box’s choose your genetics wisely.

I agree that he probably isn’t using Sweet Seeds’ RHC, but I can’t find any information on the RHC he uses, so was just curious if anyone knew

Picked up a clone of Big League at the local hydro shop. Smelled fruity AF flowering but lost most of it around chop time. More peanut butter flavor now. Great trich coverage (can't even see the purple calyxes bc of frost) but larfy as hell. Organic. 20231201_065027~3.jpg

I’m so glad to see other growers experiencing the same thing i did. So let me explain…..

buddy of mine got some supposed “Cereal Milk” flower from some guys that were doing work in my area, from New York. He got an Oz of it and out of that we found 1 seed. So I saved it and planted it a few months later and what happened from there was very confusing at first. The bud growing didn’t look anything like the bag of bud it came from and what really worried me is that it didn’t have any pistols and I was afraid of harming the entire time. Come to find out, but apparently it was GRC X BBC by Square 1. My pics are exact to any pistol-less pheno I have seen. Smoke is top notch, even with only 2 1/2 weeks into cure. Dense little nuggets. Yielded about 2 1/2 oz with a 1 month veg in 3 gl grow bag coco coir

Yeah. I am in day 36 now and I have a lot of orange pistils on some phenos and some of the tops are hardly throwing pistils or coming out orange right from the beginning. Some of the lowers are throwing an abundance of whites so it could be the light intensity. Some of the Alien Treatz stretched a little more than my tent usually handles and are pretty close to the light. Running a Mars Hydro SP 3000 in a 2x4. Thing is pretty damn powerful. I turned it down to like 85 % because the stretch I got on some. I usually run it 100 percent with the canopy at about 19 inches, but my main canopy is about 14 to 15 inches this run. May have something to do with it. My other tent has 1 of each in it and those pheno's are throwing white hairs like I have never seen, so could be a little too much light in the other tent. Don't really think its over nute or anything. Doing living soil with occasional bat guano and worm casting tea in flower. No signs of nutrient burn or anything. Other than that though they are looking fire as all hell. THE FROST IS REAL. Fat juicy calyxes.
My grc x bbc was soaking up whatever light I threw at it. Seemed like it always wanted more lol

My grc x bbc had the orange pistils early, but they almost looked burned and receded early on. I ran her through flower but I don't know if she was a mutant, I burned her with nutes, or what but she isn't a keeper and honestly was the worst pheno I have grown of SQ1/RH. Ill continue to hunt but that was disappointing for the hype behind this one. I had another cultivar that threw orange around day 35 (somewhere in this thread) but she was fine, I think that was just genetics.

So, who knows. Could be genetics, could be stress, could be both.

But still none of mine have looked like some of these pics where there are nearly zero pistils. Crazy looking!
I believe the lack of pistols is because of a haploid mutation or monoploid. It's very much like triploids in the sense they're sterile but they tend to not produce pistols. It's used in botany to immediately bring out recessive desired traits of a cultivar. But it only has one set of chromosomes and potentially is susceptible to diseases.
