Sprouts with Seed Pods Attached

It seems I have a problem with my sprouts breaking ground with the pod still attached. I've researched some on how deep to plant them, but I get varying opinions. How deep should they be?

Cheers,

The seed cap is supposed to be there. It falls off by itself from the leaves pushing out, much like a baby bird breaking out of an egg. If it bother you, you can gently flick it off with your thumbnail. But basically don't worry about it - a plant never died because of a seedcap. I remember my first grow - I thought the seed itself was being pushed up!

I usually take em off carefully.. Don't like to leave em on til they fall out because it causes them to stretch more than usual imo

I suppose that's true. But I just support stretchy ones and there doesn't seem to be any residual damage. On the other hand, maybe there is. On the other hand, if nature wanted them off that badly, she'd do a better job of getting them off. On the other hand, I want better yields than nature gets. Damn, I've confused myself again, and my New Year's resolution was not to do that anymore!
