Sorry I just re read that. No I haven’t added any manganese. What is it? Sorry I’m a bit of a noob :)
Well it’s probable the calcium blocking out manganese.

It’s a trace element that’s vital for MJ.

Here’s a handy chart. It’s how the nutrients interact with one another.

See how it goes without the calmag though :)

I've been adding 2.5 ml per gallon of CaliMagic from GH. It has lower N so I thought it would be better with my R/O setup. My R/O reads 10 ppm from my meter but I have a cheaper Eco testr and it only goes by 10's. The CaliMagic adds about 100 ppm per 5 ml used.

I live in Florida so I have to use R/O no matter what. It's an old Spectra Pure 90 with the membrane and 2 filters. Tests at 10 ppm and 7.0 ph. I was told to always use a Calmag product but I will stop now because supposedly the Megacrop nutes don't need it.

I've used Fox Farm, GH 3 part and Emerald Harvest with the CaliMagic and all 3 have given me problems like yours. Switched to Dyna-Gro 2 weeks ago and nothing has died yet but they slightly burned at 600 ppm after 3 weeks of veg. I put the usual 2.5 ml of CaliMagic with the nutes. I'm guessing, like yours, the CalMag is the problem.

The plants would die only if they just started to flower because ALL the main fan leaves would fall off. Usually within the first 2 weeks. If they had a few main fan leaves living near the top they would usually make it to the end but the yield would suffer greatly.

Hope you nailed this because it has to be the same thing. The leaves die the exact same way as yours and look exactly the same while dying. I don't own a phone capable of taking pics so I was never able to get much help because of it.

My new experiment will be to leave the CalMag out and keep a close eye on things. Let me know how it goes :blsmoke:
Got some shock when I seen it like that. Iv had deficiencies before but never that extreme or even up that high. I only use AN Sensi line so it must of been the mixture of adding the CalMag and going back to tap water. I usually feed at about 1EC in veg and 2 EC at the height of flower but whatevers going on, maybe the strain, they seem to always get brunt. Iv only grew a few times and this is the second time running the flood and drain so still getting the hang of things.

Iv a new feed mixed up, tap water starting at .2EC 140ppm and I added base at 1EC 700ppm. Res temp 17C and pH 6.3. I’m going to try and keep the pH in the low 6s so it can take in the Calcium. I normally keep it around 5.6 - 6 so not the best range for Cal to uptake.

I’ll be checking in on the girls later tonight so will throw up an update and let you now know they’re getting on :)

Awesome chart man thanks, it put things into perspective. As far as I’m aware the Sensi coco has added CalMag and Iron. So does the Magne Cal i was adding plus the tap water. It makes more sense now. I will run it for a week and if there are any further signs I’ll start adding the CalMag and very low doses.

Lucky enough it’s happening now and not 9 weeks in lol

I just put water only yesterday and they greened up nicely. Seems like the Dyna-Gro may be working but I will be using MegaCrop on them by the end of this week :blsmoke:

I wont add any CalMag stuff until I see how yours goes.

Ok good news the problem has stopped spreading and they’re starting to brighten up a bit. Iv had them on Sensi Coco Bloom A&B at 1EC or 700ppm for the last 3 days.

Tonight iv cleaned them up a bit, removed all the dead leaves and added some Voodoo, Big Bud Coco and Bud Candy to the res. I might bump up the Sensi A&B they look a Little light green. Hopefully I can keep them happy now until harvest :-)

Nice! You have plenty of leaves up top so you should be fine. I'll be doing an experimental side by side with Dyna-Gro Foliage-Pro in one tent and Dyna-Gro Grow in the other for veg only. Ditching the Megacrop for now because the Dyna-Gro is working. Leaving the Calmag out.

Good luck to you :blsmoke:

I'm not to sure what would increase just Potassium. Your base nutrients should do it for you (Sensi A & B). N-P-K, where K=Potassium. So I would increase base nutes a little, or increase which of the Sense A or B that contains higher K.

After about a month I think you can be feeding 900-1200PPM range. Although I would caution going slowly and doing some more research before just throwing more in there.
Banana tea would increase potassium.

Much better! So it was the cal-Mag then?
I think so, I added in too much about a week ago and it’s been downhill from there. I will wait til later on in flower and see how theyre doing. Last time the deficiencies started to show at about week 6 so this time I thought I’d get ahead of it. That failed miserably lol

Yeah there is nice growth above the canopy and all looking green and healthy. I think I caught it in time, although another few days and I might not have been so lucky.

That should be an interesting comparison. I reckon a lot of people run into this issue, especially going from RO to tap water and vice versa.

Let me know how the results go :)

I must look into this. I wasn’t sure what I could add that wouldn’t contain something else I was already given them. Worst part of advanced nutrients are the products names and descriptions. Hard to know what your given them and how much
