sport bikes

And now, back on the rails of the original subject! Bikes I've ridden;

1980 Suzuki GS750E, first year of 4 valve heads. A real honey to ride.

Honda Interceptor 500. Gutless, but a sweet handling ride.

Kawasaki GPz550, fun, fast, did everything well except two up on steep dirt roads in the mountains.

Kawasaki Ninja 900, fast. Did I say fast? Wicked fast, but gotta be aware of that tiny lil front tire all the time.

Yamaha FJ1100, another stupid fast GT bike. Two 16" wheels made it drop into turns like a far smaller machine.

Yamaha FZ750, FIVE valves per cylinder, calm around town, and Holy Shit above 7500rpm. Taught me what a powerslide was without even trying!

Yamaha FZ600, the motor wasn't anything to wrote home about but the chassis was so sweet it would make you forget. I led the cops on a merry chase on one, lol

Suzuki GS1150E, this thing was tall like a bridge and just as reluctant to turn.

Ask me about close calls sometime. I have a million stories, some were self inflicted stupidity, others were just inattentive drivers.

I thank my lucky stars every day I survived!

Honda make the best rider friendly bikes IMO.

But those Suzie busas are a fun comfortable ride.

if you have the extra $50 grand the Honda goldwing travel trike is top of the line comfort with enough power to still haul ass,I keep dreaming about getting one along with the camper trailer & touring the badlands on one,not a trip I'd risk on a harley

Ive ridden a few Goldwings..Not for me although the wife does like them. Made the mistake of taking her for a ride on one once. I wouldnt buy a trike.

If I wanted hard panniers etc ill take the car or camper.

Just after a bike thats a tad more comfortable for her. When she was younger she didnt complain to much when a pillion doing over 2500ks in 3 days on a Aprillia RSVR 1000. She did complain (quiet loudly) on the way back on a HD Night Train with a little strip for a seat. That took an extra day to do the same ks.

Getting married early next year and with that and the honeymoon and needing to paint two cars and upgrade my work trailer it will probably be a couple more years till i grab one. Unless i see a bargain used one, we will see- no hurry.

I hear ya & I've been there,a normal goldwing I don't care for because I'm not comfortable at a stop,my feet lay flat but the bikes so tall my legs are extended & it feels unnatural,90's goldwing trikes are what im after, having grown up riding hard tail HD's im used to serious knee bend at a stop, shit I never rode a bike without a rocker clutch until the early 70's I spent so much time on the EL & FL so tall bikes aren't comfy for me

every time I stop around young bikers when I'm riding the 36 or 52 I get the same dumb looks, then the same questions every time.
#1 where the hell is the clutch on that bike lol
#2 why is there a throttle on the left & right side :)
and then #3 which is my favorite "how the hell do you ride that thing " and I just laugh, carefully lol

I'm going 2 look for the Honda trike camping package online that I'm in love with,if I find it I'll post a pic here
