I watched these videos probably about 2-3 years ago and it's one of the first things that got my brain clicking about spirituality, the ego, the watcher phenomenon, meditating, chakras, etc. They are a little...trying to think of the right word without putting a value judgment on it...hard to take seriously sometimes with the cartoon aspect and what not, but interesting nonetheless.

I feel Jordan and the crew are creating a more feminine, playful. less serious vibration to Their videos with the cartoons to bring balance to what They are conveying .

Strong, logical points getting across in a more focused but colorful way

The first video is awesome. Love the Einstein quote.

If we do face a depression the scale of the great depression then it will most likely lead to WW3. Could be a necessary evil nature works in mysterious ways.

The one thing I can not agree with is free will; I don't believe in free will the mind dictates everything you do, so yes the law of attraction holds a lot of weight what you think about dictates what you will experience but you are not your mind, you are not the Thinker, you are pure Awareness and you have no will, you have attained enlightenment only when you have surrendered your will to God, the universe, the cosmos, when you completely accept what is. I am a schizophrenic psychopath and I always will be, no matter how hard I try to consciously change my thoughts and perspectives it is the result of my brain activity and beyond my control.

Yea, I can see that. I also enjoy the animations because it keeps in a neutral in sense, and keeps the focus on the subject they are discussing and not on an actor or character. Either way they are great videos and the message is solid.

When you refer to "your mind" and say that "you are not your mind", do you mean your ego is separate from the consciousness or is separate from the body? I think that's a very interesting statement and am just wondering what you mean by it.

IMO WE are God and God is us, we have just forgotten. I agree with you that there is a part of the mind (the ego) that is separate from God (or the unconscious, the watcher, the observer, whatever you want to call it), but that doesn't mean that God is something separate from I (You, me, us, the feeling of being). The ego (or personality) is something that is created at birth and cultivated throughout human life. It's an adaptation to your society and culture, but it's not your true self. The ego is attached to this world, to material things, to labels, to achievements, to your job, to the many different ways that you identify yourself to other beings in this dimension, and that's why it feels so strong (like that is who YOU really are) in this very materialistic culture that we grow up in. But again, this is not your true self, and as long as you cling to that identity you will feel this longing, this mental block that some people call depression or neurosis (whatever sound you want to label it with). I think that once we rediscover our true self and true state of being we can fix these mental problems that have been plaguing our society and cultures.

*edit: meant to say "modern society and cultures"*

The ego is separate from the consciousness, the watcher, the Silent Witness, yes Yaweh, God Allah. "Surely Allah is hearing, seeing, knowing, nigh" very close in space and time, so close that you are inseparable, you are God/Goddess, the effortless creator of the cosmos, an Immortal Genius in this physical form we call a human being, but you are not the form you are the Light.

You have a very good grasp of what the ego is. Can you become directly aware of the ego as it takes place in your mind? Can you recognize it in your thought process? Once you have discovered your true self which it sounds like you have it is then time to bring acceptance to any illness mental or physical, by accepting it you are giving up resistance to it and this is the very beginning of a spiritual healing. Your body and mind are intricately connected and simply by recognizing your true self as awareness you can bring harmony to the mind and body.

I really like that perspective. I think I see what your saying, through accepting the illness you are giving up (not in a negative way) and letting go. Your accepting that part of your ego. I think we need to do that with all aspects of our ego (or mind or personality, whatever you want to call it). I do, now more than ever, notice myself looking at my ego in this "third person" kind of way, and it really leaves you with this odd sensation. I think most people would refer to that as the observer feeling or the watcher. So yes, I do find myself recognizing more and more when my ego flares up. It's funny because since I've been trying to become more self-aware, if that is truly possible, I've been recognizing just how weak and childish the ego can be in some aspects. We all like to think that we have this great personality (or ego), it makes us make witty comments that attract friends, is strong when we need protection, its sweet and caring to children or love ones, it does a lot of good things, but it also has that shadow side. That side of the ego that individualistic, selfish, non empathetic, etc., which is the side that most people try to "fix", usually just by ignoring it, thinking it will just go away with time. Rather than just ignoring it I think we need to address it, and like you were saying, accept these things about our ego's BUT also know that our ego is just that, it's an ego, it's not who YOU, I, WE, ME really are.

*Edit: Sorry meant to incorporate this question in there. Do you think we can evolve to not have egos one day or do you think that is just "human nature"? I think it's really interesting to think of the ego as an evolutionary adaptation to our society.

Excuse me @HeatlessBBQ not meaning to hijack your thread but I am keeping on subject so if you don't mind me speaking I will.

I would not equate the entire mind with the ego but yes the personality exactly. The ego is not the totality of your mind and many faculties are completely free of ego.

Yes I do believe in ego death and believe that it is possible on a widespread scale although probably not all human beings. I believe this man experienced ego death and if you haven't already read his books I would highly recommend them, "A New Earth " and "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle

See as you become better at breaking your identification with the Thinker in your head and recognizing your true self as pure Awareness the less energy you give to the ego so it begins to lose momentum and eventually, we're talking years for the individual and centuries for humanity it will come to a halt and die.
