Spiders! Help!

I opened up my soil storage container today and saw a few spiders hanging out on webs above my soil. These aren't the mite kind. Are they in there to eat other bugs? Should I toss the soil outside? Fox farm red, worm castings, perlite mix. Not cheap to replace a 25 gallon container of it.

Any tips on storing your mediums

Find out what kind of spiders they are. Or take a picture and all of us will help you identify it. Not all spiders are bad, and I would deff be hesitant to toss that 25 gallon of soil. Foxfarm with worm castings is some pretty good stuff, if you are going to toss it out, let me give you my address and you can throw it out in my yard : )

Goodluck mate : )

spider mites are tiny.. and if you see a web you will usually see more than 2 mites.. by the time the web is visible to the eye... you will have hundreds of mites cruzzzing around on the same web....
