I have a good Idea. get a big trash can and a bottle of murphys oil soap. you want the concentrated its mostly vegetable oil. It wont hurt plants and kills mites. 3/4 cup to five gallons water fill your trash can or bucket cover the pots so the dirt doesn't fall out using cardbord or a bucket lid.Cut a slot and a hole in the middle for the stalk. Flip them upside down and dunk them for about a minute. Then pull them out slow wiping off all leafs undersides and tops start at the bottom pulling the plant out working your way to the top. shake off the access then let them dry before putting them back in your room. do this every three days for 2 weeks and you should be good. I don't think I would try this on a plant late in flower two three weeks into flower you should be good.

Haha I was literally just contemplating this idea! I'm following a recipe for "Calicleaner" I found while nosing through spidermite control threads on here.

I used it in the spray form, and it worked wonders as far as controlling them for the time being. Now, Ive started another grow and even after cleaning the room out well, the mites are back onto my babies (that I grew from seed, so I know they must be residual mites). It says you can dunk them in the Calicleaner, so I was brainstorming on my way home if making a cut into a cardboard box to keep soil in would work. My only question is, will the plants be alright if I dunk them, because theyre about 18" and still in veg for another week. I would obviously rather kill them off before flower. Think ill be okay?

They should be okay. I've been using it as well as bombing the house. I also added azomax into my mix...kills the little bastards by disrupting their life cycle.

Never had the little bastards in my garden. So I really cannot comment on any way to kill em. But it sounds ok, let me know if it works.

Its fine for small plants you will see when all the bugs get washed off they will perk rite up and look good. Ive done this on seedlings, clones and 4 to 5 foot plants no problems. make sure you wash them all off and soak it long enough get all the air bubbles out of the undersides of the leafs.

that trash bag idea is excellent for large grow ops never thought about that wiping them one by one every day is a bitch. now that im small i never get them but i use neem oil extract and matholon or pyrethrins(never during flower) if its a flowering plant i might kill it or wipe the leaves everyday or just use neem oil and try to rinse it off as much as possible during last 2 weeks

that shit doesn't work I have a cabinet full of that stuff. and its not a trash bag its a trash can. murphys oil soap can be found in at almost any store. Its an old time cure that everyone overlooks.
