Spider Mite Help

So, I recently tried my 2nd grow (1st didnt get anywhere due to MG soil >.<) and the plants were beautiful up to about day 14. Were very bushy and then... white spots! The spider mites came haha. I tried to combat them with some pesticides and about a week later after using so much pesticide i made them get a bit of chem burn the buggers are back :(
I had the plants like dowsed in the chem, tops and bottoms and stems. I even sprayed the soil and the entire inside of the grow box! idk what else to do!

My problem is the box is in a old old old unfinished basement (the stealth is perfect though lol, no one dares go down there) there are spiders everywhere. the spiders to my knowledge dont hurt my plants, in fact there is 1 that lives in the bottom of by box, he has trapped like 3 little beetles (which i think might mean my plants harm!)

So, where do spider mites come from? This is really the only area I can grow in and is it possible for the mites to just live in the basement? I wouldnt be able to get rid of them if they had the whole basement infested :(

Before I start my next grow I just wanted to know if these things would go away if perhaps I removed all plant material for a week or so. Also thinking if my box doesnt work is there an incredibly tight sealed setup anyone has? one where no bugs could get in?

Edit: Also for some reason 1 of my plants leaves are all contorted. They grow in spirals, its jacked up. Other is yellowing and droops. Sad plants :(

Is unfinished like dirt or open to dirt?
Its one of those houses built in like 1910 in a major city. Its only like 6 ft ceilings and the walls are cement up to like 4 ft and then there is hmm an "improvised" wall? lol its normal in most parts but there are a few windows that were broken out and the land lord "fixed" it by duct taping cradboard wrapped in plastic. In other words yes, for a bug as small as a spider mite, there is access to the outside world.

I use some dtuff called hot shot. inside and out but it kills everything "bug" I used 50/50 h2o alcohol and garlic to get rid of mine. So far I'm the only one thats had luck with the garlic. so I might have got lucky and killed every thing with the spray bottle mix. But I use the hot shot all over the house. We live in bug heaven.
