I'm thirty; give or take a couple years either way.... Don't want to get too specific
I believe in what is demonstrable. Even if we don't know what causes it, it should still be demonstrable.
I don't think it's ridiculous that people believe in god, or supernatural things. People grow up in different areas, and typically only believe what they're subjected to by authority figures.
I think it's ridiculous when people are confronted about their beliefs in the supernatural by people with logical arguments, and then reject the logical argument for their unjustified beliefs. If your belief in a god is dependent on omitting rational thought, that's a problem,
regardless of how good it makes you feel, or how much hope it gives you, ad nauseum.
The person holding the belief isn't ridiculous for being inculcated with that specific belief, it's the unwavering dedication to any belief that's logically implausible; that's ridiculous. The willful ignorance cloaked in 'comfort' or 'moderation' pisses me off more than anything anyone could ever believe in.
So, in short; Willful ignorance and an inability to process new, compelling information in a logical way to redefine one's beliefs, are what piss me off, and I find ridiculous.
