South East Grow 2009 [1st outdoor grow]

So this is my first grow journal. I'm new to RIU so everything is still kinda confusing but for the most part I understand how to use it.


Okay, I germinated my seeds using wet paper towel and plastic bag (duh). That was the 5th of March. They went in the ground on the 8th. Now it is the 26th and they're very slowly coming along. Is this normal when you are growing outdoors?

I have 7 plants total. Some of them are getting aggravated by some local bugs. What should I do?

Right now they're getting 12 hours 30 min. I probably started them to early now that I think about it but what the hell ya know

So some animals went and ate some of my sprouts. So how can I keep away animals without using some fence. I heard hair works.

That fecking sucks man......I've never heard of using hair how does that work?? But if u do plant more seeds try putting them in shaded areas between plants for cover would be your best bet my friend...

Well supposedly if you trim your hair and scatter it around your plant it will keep the critters away. I don't know if it works though. I guess anythings worth a try.

Thanks for the info man. There are some brier patches near the area so I'll prob drop some more in the ground near them.
