foam of some sort would be best. next rolled insulation. depends on how much noise. You can also do allot with drywall. the foam boards are essayist
to work with but are not cheep.

i just used a load of old carpet that was cleaned very well and doubled up and tacked to the wall i also used rockwool insulation for round my fans to reduce vibrations, the rockwool from your hydro shope would be all good and hella cheeeeep and same with carpet JUST CLEAN IT WELL FIRST IF ITS SECOND HAND.

one of thoes yellow foam matress pads for comfort. cut it to what ever size and staple.
