SOS - Possible Mold

Hello, I’m having a very urgent issue. I’ve been working very hard on my first grow and today I noticed something in the middle of one of the colas and I think it may be mold! I have attached some pictures. How can I fix this issue. Do you think I should harvest early? Do you think I should chop off this cola?

The humidity isn’t high and there’s a fan blowing over the canopy. Is this bud salvageable at all? It would seriously break my heart to have to throw it away

any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Im really desperate to save as much as i can and take immediate action since this is my first grow and i put a ton of effort into it

The sensible route would be to chuck it.

Personally I would cut that cola, or else it will spread. then excise the worst part and water cure the rest. But I'm not sensible.

can you tell me the exact humidity please? it looks like it could be the start of mould...

i dont have a humidity reader but its in a closet and the room has a window AC unit thats on full blast. Theres also a fan above the canopy

what do you mean by 'water cure'

it's hard to tell you then if you don't know the exact humidity. i would say cut early because that looks like the start of mould

completely submerge it in water and keep it there. changing the water every day for a while.

i wouldn't even think about doing that. lol the water on the buds could increase the mould to spread

yes just chop it and hang it upside down for a few weeks and let it dry good and then cut any mouldy bits out

no the mould won't spread as long as it's drying and getting drier and drier

Chop that cola. Inspect everything else thoroughly, pull anything else with spots... Let the rest go 2 weeks, but that's just me.

Don't dry the cola with mold, just bag it up and dispose. That mold could spread.

Yes toss it . Mold throws spores , so there’s that. Even though mold can dry and get powdery , it can easily re-activate given the right environmental conditions.

In other words , after everything is said and done with grow ...... clean the crap out of grow area.

Do your lights out temps drop? Really there is no excuse to not know your temperature and humidity numbers if you are tryna grow some weed.

Yeah i think they drop about 10 degrees give or take. This is my first grow, its bag seed, and im a broke college student. So no temp or humidity readers for now

When air cools the RH% goes up.

For example, we have air thats 80.6F and 50% relative humidity, that same air cools to 69F and it's now 70% relative humidity.

Using this chart you can observe how temperature relates to relative humidity. The absolute humidity is how many grams of water are in a kilogram of air. Thats the number int he middle of the chart in the lighter colored area.
