I have a couple of free seed packs. 4 seeds each Jack Herer and Afican Kwazulu. I know that Jack sells for $200 for 10 seeds, so I have $80 worth of free jack. Did I mention that they are Sensi seeds and World of seeds?
I have been looking for a good uplifting sativa and I have only been messing with sativa dom crosses. I have a few Space queen crosses from TGA and a couple of OG crosses from RareD. I have not had the chance to sample the RareD yet, but my Ghost of LeeRoy is very stretchy(free 6pk).
What are my chances of getting something good out of 4 regular seeds? I have tall ceilings.
 
I had 2 of the african kwazulu's.
One didnt pop the other was female.
After 27 weeks in flower my buddies nicknamed it "the fern", and one of them gave me his 2 freebie African Kwazulus since he knew he wanted no part of it.
I will pop his two at some point. No doubt I just got one crazy ass pheno. It still had a decent buzz but tasted like shit, smelled like shit and literally crackled and popped when you smoked it.
 
Considering they're from sensi seeds and my buddies bought a full ten pack in 2003 or 2004 and only got one descent female that was potent but not the best taste, I'd say you even if you got four females, you will get four different phenos that don't really resemble Jack. My experience anyway.

I ran clones of that single female and it was good but it didn't grow or stretch like a sativa dom plant at all. And it actually tasted just like dutch passions skunk #1 I also had at the same time, though the Jack was much more potent than the skunk.

Oh, and let me add, those buddies paid either $320 or $350 for those ten Jack beans from sensi seeds from Kinds seeds through the catalog that came with my skunk and blueberry orders.

I have not had any real Jack h, so I would not know what to compare it to. I have heard that it has a wide variety before but I dont really remember what to look for.
I am hoping to come across a good sativa. I hear people talk about shit that will get your heart racing. I have not had any of that yet. I am starting to look though.
I have a few hybrids going right now but the most sativa I have is still afternoon smoke at best. Still looking for a great wake-n-bake that will light a fire under my ass! Maybe the African kwazulu will be like Durban Poision??? On attitude seeds it has a interesting story for the kwazulu seeds. It said that they were smoking this shit when they defeated the British. You know the one, spears against guns!

I got a pheno of Dinafem's power kush that gives a uppity high that get the heart racing. Since I've been smoking this shit, it's hard to fall asleep before 1 am now.

I also had a couple critical jack herers form delicious seeds and one of those had and excellent high uppity and fruity taste.

I had a free PowerKush a couple of years back. I thought that it was indica dom, but I am sure that we had different phenos. Mine was short, fast and citrus-y.

I have ran a few Delicious seeds. I think that they are my favorite $50 seed company!!! I almost started a thread about my CriticalSensiStar! I have had regular Critical from Mr. Nice, and I like CSS so much better. I bought 2 packs and ended up with one that had earned a spot in my place. It is Big and fast. The smoke is a solid B-B+. I would get a dark berry smell from the bigger ones and the majority of them were little squat indica dom that were pretty great also. I really enjoyed my 2 seed packs for $100, better than most $100 seed packs. Oh, everyone was stable and worth keeping around. I would rate this A+ for beginners!!!

So, I dont really think that anything with Critical or kush in the name is really what I am looking for. Although, I have heard some good stuff about the Crit. Jack!

The two critical jacks I did were definitely sativa dom. Tall stretchy plants with skinny leaves. I would never have suggested C. jack but one freebie that I didn't keep clones of turned out to be the best high I've grown in a long time.

I've grown both Sensi's jack and that critical jack, and the critical jack beat it in every way, hands down. More vigor, taller, stretched more, better taste and one of the best sativa highs I've ever had.

My power kush was just a fluke, from what others have reported about it at least. I've read others mention it was indica dom. for them but my was in no way indica dom. The high is way to uppity and paranoia inducing with zero couch lock effect. I have never had it tested but compared to crap label 20% from dispensaries,(like central valley california outdoor grown blue dream or anything really when that 100 degree weather hits) it has to be in the upper 20s for sure. Having said that I'll never grow it again, just too much. You feel like an idiot after a while because you're just too damn stoned.

I have seen some one else talk highly of Crit. jack. Maybe I will try it soon. Anyways, I am definitely happy with delicious seeds!
 
I also have a jack herer fem. freebie from seedsman I'll probably run this summer. Hopefully those sensi jack h. comes out super nice for you.

I have a very very racy sativa dominant phenotype of Black Widow. Definitely the raciest in my garden currently and a lot of folks do not like smoking it. Then again, some folks love it (like a lot). So it's an option too. If you ran a full pack you'd probably find something similar. Closest thing I've got to smelling like a skunk too (not quite though, but you can tell the terpenes are there as well as some others).

Dude, from a 10pk I got 9 stable females. If I remember correct, 6 of them were on the short/indica heavy side. 3 of them were Critical dom. I focused on the critical dom but the short plants were very frosted and good. I have 1 that is just crazy big! I think that is good in every aspect except flavor. It has a "new shoes" smell a little spicy hint, maybe licorice?
The best smelling/tasting was tall, but it was skinny and more of a medium yeild. It had a blueberry pop-tart thing going.
The best part of it is the speed. Man they bulk up FAST! You could probably chop at week 7-8 but mine gets a little purple around 9, not much just a hue.
Compared to other strains that I have like StarKiller and vortex, it has a generic flavor. It is good in every other aspect though. Even clones easy.
