I just put down a drop cloth and then some 6 mil plastic.

I use panda film which is black on one side and white on the other. White is most reflective.

I put 2 pieces of 2x4 foot celing tile uder them 8 bucks,reflects great,and absorbs any water, and dissaptes it to be dry in no time,also insulates any grow area,easy to cut and work with,grat shit for the home grower,in my grow area its now on every wall ceiling and floor,@ 2-4 bucks a panel u cant do better for refeltion and insulation

i cant get panda film with out ordering. i can find plastic sheeting but ive only seen transparent at lowes and black. id also like a harder surface. but doing all of this with out removing the carpet.

You could just cut a piece of plywood to fit, put some plastic down then the plywood with a coat of flat white.

Just slap plywood them plastic. you dont need reflective on floor it will get dirty most likely anyway dont make things difficult. Lighting from underneath does nothin anyway if I am correct besides if it did by the time it bounced off walls then floor then back up theres nothin left

You should def take the carpet out and save it to put back in when it may not be a grow room anymore.
If it's gonna be a grow room for an extended period of time the carpet will end up ruined anyway.
