right it will void you warranty.I probably wouldn't take advice from stupidclown. You are going to have to go to the HP site and look up your model, see what board it has and look it up as to what chips it can accept. You aren't going to have a lot of wiggle room with a laptop so don't be shocked if you are stuck with what you have. Taking it apart will void your warranty (if you have one). As far as water cooling that is only useful if you are overclocking your system and are bumping the voltage up which creates excess heat and that applies to desktops not laptops.
