about how big should a plant be around day 12? mine is about 6.5" wide from tip to tip at the second set of true leaves, it's about 2.5" tall and has about 4 sets of true leaves though they're not done growing/forming.
should it be putting off a smell so early? cuz i can smell it when i sniff it and rubbing a leaf really makes the smell much stronger.
i'm doing a microgrow, literally one plant as i want to see how well a CFL grow does on a very small scale. i want HPS lights in the future but until then i'm playing with a CFL and seeing how it pans out with this plant. i have it surrounded by walls of cardboard painted a bright white to make the light seem brighter and a small fan to help stiffen the plant's stem. it's sitting in compost i made and prior to using it i checked it for PH and all that more than once to double check the results and all numbers were good. the plant looks pretty good though a smidgen wrinkly because i had it a little too close to the light.
once it gets a little bigger i have a white piece of carboard to put under the leaves of the plant to reflect more light under them so the bottom of the plant doesnt sit in the dark so to speak.
i'm only giving it water as i dont believe it needs to be fed at this point because it appears to be doing quite well.
by using a 2700K bulb does this make for a shorter plant or just harder for it to veg and grow period? i'm not going out and buying a 6500K bulb but i'm wondering what effects the 2700K bulb is having on it's veg cycle.
