Some lovely grow pictures

So my first time plants are coming along super well since I tossed out the compact fluorescents and switched to LED. They also get the first morning sun, which I feel they like; nothing beats natural!! The results so far have been just so much fun. I love these plants! The leaves are lovely rich green with deep maroon stems, they are strong, and stiff, and a bit smelly (but not in a bad way, a little skunky, the Silver Haze is a bit sweet, yet Cotton Candy does not smell like candy)

A ladybug somehow has taken up residence in my largest plant. They come inside during the fall by some magical means and hibernate god knows where in my house. Spring is finally thawing things out, and now I have ladybugs. Cant complain. I welcome my new roommate.

One of my plants cant seem to decide if it likes natural sun, or LED better, The result is a wavy main stem, which I LOVE. It's like a natural little bonsai. The wavy shape gives the lateral branches a chance to get more light. I approve.

The biggest plant I tried to FIM. The result is. . . questionable. It's not forming four new heads, it seems to just keep on growing up right. It's confusing me. The lower laterals are very strong though, and getting quite thick. I trimmed the biggest fan leaves above them away to allow better light (like three leaves, which I'm pressing into dried . . . decorations, I suppose, maybe I'll make book marks, I have no idea, I just think the leaves are pretty)

Your living a lie....You do not have to remove leaves to supply light to other parts of the plant!
In fact, your removing the things that actually do the work of feeding the plant!

Nice plants though...

Morning sun..in most cases thru out the world this time of year ...is very red ie..2700 kelvin great for vegging plants to grow tall and lanky

Blue light(6500 kelvin -ish) or mid day light, is the opposite and grows the plant horizontally or squat, but makes great leaves

the light stimulates hormones mostly at the branches tips

red stems is often an indication of too cooler temps

good luck

They are at 70 degrees usually.

Should I be concerned about the height? I was planning on low stress training it so figured the taller it tries to be, the more I can train it. They aren't in a tent, and basically have free reign of their space. They are growing densely, a thick stalk, with many well developing laterals.

LST should be done, tho I prefer the FIM method

the real deal here is cause they are not confined

and these babes know that,

and if they have the correct conditions they will florish

avoid overwatering at all costs, thats a volume killer

list the pot ...THINK!

then decide to water

often growers will try to cram as many plants to a tent

resulting in tiny plants

tho the grower has done all he can

still will wonder why they are small

good luck

Yes I want to let them stretch and grow. I love my babies! I've started to lst train them here's a pic (lighting changed to get a better picture)
