Some advice please?

This is my first time grow, I would consider it to be a success but not entirely. They are about 4 weeks old and now starting them on a 12/12 flowering cycle with bloom fertz. They have been flowering for 5 days now, and took off at least 5 inches taller than the pictures shown. I was reading somewhere to leave the lights off of them for 3 days to try and sex them. Well in doing so I still really can't tell what sex they are and what was looking like a nice bushy plant now is a 5-6 inch taller lanky plant. I have read alot about the growing process and have a pretty vast amount of knowledge for this but i just want a second opinion. I understand that females have pistils and what not. Can anyone tell me what sex these are if possible or any advice?

Your last picture looks like a female to me...the other ones i'd need a closer pic of the internode to even guess

If you flower them watch them closely if you see little ball sacks developing toss it it's a male...if you see both traits your probably got a hermie...you could move it and grow it somewhere else or toss the hermie as well...my 0.02 since no one else replied...adios

I am using a CFL 42W Spiral Bulb and a GE Plant Light with a circular shop light reflector. Originally i purchased these just for germinating and first 2 weeks but just ended up leaving them and had some really nice success with them but i'm going to buy 2 more CFL's to give them some more light.

no sex on those plants yet, you need to be patient. dont turn the luights off for 3 days - you'll only confuse the piss out of them and possibly hermie them.

keep them on 12/12 and wait for pistills. you will either see pistills, or grape looking sacks of balls. early calyx can look like single balls - do not use this to confirm sex - wait for 3 balls or pistills.

i have found that males seem to look weaker, i mean they do not look as substantial as femals, i would say seeing how yours want to bush and make as much veg as they can(judging buy the looks in your pics), i would say they are female. Best to be pathient m8. Youll definately know when youve got males before its to late so chill man.

Yeh it's best to wait it out, putting them in the dark for 3 days is a bit much, 24 hours of darkness can jump-start them but 3 days is just too long and will stress them. Actually I found that males tend to grow faster and taller then females, every 'alpha' plant I ever grew ended up being a male or hermie. Oh if you want to upgrade your light at some point Home Depot sells a 100w CFL flood-light for $60, add a chord and you can really grow well under it, and it costs less than an envirolight and fixture.
