Thanks 2 plants at any one time which would keep us going on weed instead of buying it, sick of prices going up! Here in ireland now nearly €500 an ounce, not right.

€370 to €400 an ounce! Capitalism on covid, wouldn't mind the buds are still not 100% dry
I find that absolutely crazy, it's weed ffs not class As or what not.

Nearly €500 an oz and if its not really dry it must be shit. Like cut down, quickly dried and out on the streets for sale without any cure at all.

I live NE UK and grow only for personal use so not upto date with local street prices but did hear down south its around £240 for an oz of decent smoke. I found that price crazy but €500 in Ireland is just fucking nuts!

It will work but I wouldnt expect a great yield. If you can spend a little more you can get a 250 watt magnetic ballast with reflector and bulb for pretty cheap.

agree with above ,get a dimmable digital ballast and dial it down with the correct bulb,be better than the big cfl.

Would that be 250 watts straight or would it be like e.g 250w = 60 ?? If 250 watts straight would be a lot on electricity

I'm not sure what you mean by 250w=60 but that light is 250 watts on the lowest setting.

How much do you pay for electricity? Unless you have a really high rate you would hardly notice an extra 250 watts.
