I have 3 plants with issues. They are under a 400 watt hps with 2 led lights in the same room. I got a temp guage to check as I noticed it were warm. One day while at work the temp got to 110-120 degrees F. They looked pissed at me.. the plants were a different color than Im used too since inch one.

(pic this was taken day after heat)

I have the temp under control now by opening the door (I live alone in owned house). I still don't want to duct.. temp is fine now. However I do not think my garden environment is right yet. For example- I have a number of starting pots I just popped germinated beans into that dry out over night.

The issue got worse though the temp was fine. They were yellow all over but the new growth makes it look like they are starving for nitrogen. The new growth isn't discolored right now but I feel the leaves arnt looking like they aughta. I pruned the bad looking leaves when I were certain they wouldn't recover.

I recently added a larger fan to the back of my garden to blow any hot air out and into my room where it's useful this time of year. (Smell is the least of my worry here)

See those couple leaves on my big plant?Am I still having humidity issues? My temp is constant in the low 80s- even the hood it's self is under 90.. Do I need a humidifier being I don't want to saw up the roof In the name of fully replacing air.? Anyone have real experience?
Even though it's not hot is the 400 watt combined with air flow and intake restrictions drying my air out?

Ok so lets start with you cooking your plants .. The temp got high and you pulled a bunch of her leaves off.

Dont hurt your plant when their so damaged . Let them recover for a few weeks see if they start getting new growth up top . Or start over . I would start over because its goomg to take a long time to recover then in flower they might not do so well

And you dont need to pop a hole in your roof to control your humidity buddy
Just goto a hardware store and buy 30 liter dehumidifoer and attach the hose and put that hose in a bucket so you can empty it.

Now buddy. Do you have ANY fresh air from outside going into that grow space? Or do you simply just have the door cracked

Either way buddy, plants need co2 to be able to use all that light your abusing them with. Also fresh air will reduce the mold your going to get growing how you currently are

Raise those lights to the cieling and turn them down if they have a power dial.

Those plants need to recover, as this point your only doing more damage only feed them water for now until they start getting lots of new obvious growth

Your temps need to be 75-80f

Humidity in veg 60-70
Flower 50-60

I would seriously consider making a hole in the side of your house and put a dryer vent cap

If you hookup to your house system your blowing hot dank grow room air all through your system and house. . If you dont already have proper ventilation your asking for mold

Also if your seeds are drying out get a propogation tray, a dome a seedling heat mat and put some water on the bottom tray to get warmed up by the mat.

Put the dome on and it will fog up and stay really humid in there. Dont let seedlings dry out

Also yes those hps lights dry out air, for sure . U need airflow

I forgot to mention they have been under 24 hr light since they broke surface. Cooked is probably an understatement. like I said after the heat I fixed the temp and kept my light from overheating. I turned it down to 250 again and set the timer to 20-4 just now

I was referring to it being way too dry in there. Mabe I need a humidifier.
