Solo cup grow

Hey all, i am planning my future grow after my current and i am going to give the 500ml solo cups a rip.

I'm going to be using pure perlite, hempy style with a hole im guessing 1cm up from the bottom.


If anyone has any grow journals on solo cups could you post the link please?

Also i am only use to growing autoflowers, so any suggestions to what type of photo-period strains that i could flower from seed, i have been following the solo cup comps on RIU & im just curious to see if there are any other strains people have grown with.. cheers

From what ive seen on RIU you can get from 10-40grams per cup, which imo is not too bad at all

What are the chances of doing an autoflower in a solo cup? stressfull, not worth it?

I assume 12/12 from seed would be the same as using a clone?
Or would using a clone be the optimal choice?

I think a 2 gallon plastic pot or fabric pot would be better

i am after grow journals and such info to do with solo cups.. like the competitions ive seen around

We used to do solo cup competitions in the led section but it was photos 12-12 from seed, not autos.

Also, I've tried all perlite hempy style and it didn't work too well. The perlite would float on the water and it was like quick sand. Vermiculite worked better for me. I think some people have gotten all perlite to work but I did not like it.
