solo cup --> 40oz cup ok to just cut off bottom?

hey guys im thinking yes there will be not a problem but instead of transplanting into the 40oz cups id like to just cut the bottom off the solo cup and place that in the 40oz giving that much more space in the 40oz for roots to grow etc...am i correct in my thinking the roots will just grow down and out into the 40oz?

Pretty sure that will work, but why not just transplant, its really not that hard and I think your roots would grow a little better imo but idk imma a newb too but ive transplant a few times and it never bothered my plants

Multiple transplants through a cannabis plant life is just fine. Now transplanting a lot in a short amount of time period is NOT good for the plant for sure.

It'll work, but that's like giving your 5 year old kid a new pair of shoes, but not letting him get larger pants.

Agree fully with that, I personaly have potted up twice so far and plan to do one more time in a couple weeks

dont follow that? i got a reg flower room im gonna pack another sice that i was veggin in with the 40oz cups so i can pack them in and just transplanting will take up an extra 6 or so inches of supersoil i can pack in thats the reason im doing this and why im not puttin them into bigger pots cause within 2-3 weeks they wont fill the root mass up much like they would in these 40oz'ers
