So i wanna do the soil recipe subcool has always made. I found the mix on high times website and it says
  • 8 large bags of a high-quality organic potting soil with coco fiber and mycorrhizae (i.e., your base soil)
  • 25 to 50 lbs of organic worm castings
  • 5 lbs steamed bone meal
  • 5 lbs Bloom bat guano
  • 5 lbs blood meal
  • 3 lbs rock phosphate
  • ¾ cup Epson salts
  • ½ cup sweet lime (dolomite)
  • ½ cup azomite (trace elements)
  • 2 tbsp powdered humic acid
My choice of soil is the PROMIX lines. Thats what my local store carries that i like. It comes in 3.8 cubic feet and im not sure how that relates to "8 large bags" as the recipe states.
The store sells all the other items on the list but in different quanities which is why im trying to do the math for how much ill need.

any help?

also should i just use the regular promix BX?

Which Pro-Mix are you using most Pro-Mix is not soil.
uh i hadnt picked any up yet i just remember it being a good "soil" back when i was growing bout 10 years ago.
if it wont work for the recipe i can look into other soils
