Soil ?

You have to get enzymes to help break down the roots like Mycorrhiza or other enzymes and funguses.. Im sure theres some threads on here somewhere about reconditioning soil..
 
not worth it bro...2 many complications if you dont have a few grows under your belt...trust me...

Yeah better off just to use new soil each time. Costs a little more than needed but for starting out just use new soil every harvest.
 
new soil or compost it (that will take a few months and you need need a compost pile)
 
Old soil has it's advantages. I always save some from my outdoor pots for next years seedlings. I leave it out to leach/freeze through winter and then sterilise it in the microwave. The flushed out nutes (especially N) help with seedlings and cuttings, where new can often be too 'hot'.
 
Me too. I save a bit of it for my seedlings and clones..
The rest goes on the compost heap...
