Soil..?

I'm about to move my newly germinated seeds into a small soiled cup.

I'm very limited in the soil department due to where I live, but I have access to some decent materials.

a) decent potted plant soil
b) some department store "top soil"
c) miracle grow for trees and shrubs
d) miracle grow for fruits and vegs.

Which would be best for my situation. I could mix them as well, so if that's a better idea, I could ue some suggestions.

go with pro-mix. miracle grow has fertilizers in it that last for 3+ months and you don't want that. you want to put in and flush just the nutes that you want for your plant as it grows and changes from vegetative cycle to budding.

i just mixed up some soil for my plants and this is what i mixed together:

pro-mix
perlite
scotts humus manure
schultz water crystals
sphagnum moss

i pretty much went 2 parts pro-mix, 1 part perlite, 1 1/2 parts humus manure, and then i put in just under half a bag of sphagnum moss. after that i put in about 1 teaspoon of the water crystals per gallon of each container i was putting it in

hope this helps!

If your a new grower dont us MG - just a good tip

Just go with universal potting soil, they come with a good hp and good drainidge

mixin, thanks, that really helps me, and I will attempt to follow that mixture for my next grow (with better seeds/clones, etc..) but for now I've attempted to find some of my mom's most healthy potted plant soil, and added a small layer of top soil.

Thanks, and yes, this is my first grow, so I'm experimenting as well as picking up tips along the way.

:peace:
