First time grower here, got a question about soil.

I hear from a lot of people how fox farm soil is one of the best and that's what you should get, etc, etc. But honestly can any soil work fine? I also plan on adding some of the following fox farm products. Tiger bloom, big bloom, grow big, beastie bloom, cha ching, and open seasame

Don't use this!!

Soil choice is very important. I recommend Fox Farm as well.
But, there are a few choices that have a good rep.
Like Roots Organic for one.
I have compared these two side by side.
I found them to be the same in composition.
The only difference i did notice was a slightly darker tint in the Roots bags compared to the Fox Farm bags.

i recommend ready gro and happy frog they work great together with perlite on the bottom but make sure and plant in its own pot not in ground

These soils aren't available around here and I'm not going to ship them. When I go to pick up some soil at the local nurseries what should I look for in a soil and what should I watch out for?

look bro i used to use miracle gro works just finei use ocean forest now..people on here will tell you it's shit they're just being anal..j/k but it worked just fine for me for years and the misses still throws her potted flowers in it every summer...peace
