My soil ph is about an 7.6. I heard that some kind of lime will lower the ph. What kind of lime is? When I do apply it to the soil do I mix it in to the top couple of inches of the soil or do I mix it in to the water before I water.

How do you test the PH of your soil? And i think it's called liquid lime

A soil test kit and it was reading dark green which is 7.5. Just got a digital ph tester for water and the water being used is around the same. Watered for the first time with water that was ph'd so hoping this will bring the soil ph down. Does this sound right, Should I still trying using something to mix into the soil to bring it down. Could the high ph water and soil cause the damage to the leaves in the pictures? I was also useing nuts every time I watered which I know was a big no no. Going to try every other time.
