soil ph level

So im confused about how to maintain the proper ph lvl for my soil. Will simply watering it with water at the right ph lvl maintain the soild ph as well? If not how?

Water has very little effect on pH. If you had a cup of battery acid and a you added a cup of water to it, the acid would be 50% diluted but the pH would be pretty much the same.

In order to bring up that battery acid's pH, you need to add an alkaline material like baking soda (Sodium Bicarbonate.)

For a start, check the pH of your water. If it's too alkaline, add a small amount of white vinegar or lemon juice. Be advised: a little acid makes a big difference when raising pH and vice versa.
