I am deciding on what to do right now about my ladies. They are all WW 4 weeks veg today exactly, 120W 6500K floros. They are all starting to show signs of nutrient lockout and nut burn. I wish I could take pics but the spots I have addressed in other posts are becoming bigger and are appearing on new growth as well as the fan leaves. I'm debating on swapping soil or flushing the plants...
Soil I used was a mix I had laying around from building a terrarium. High drainage and water retention includes peat moss and sphagnum, MG organic soil, small amount of lava rock, river pebbles, and MG regular potting soil. It is testing out at around 7.5-8 as well with no plants or sunlight.
Is it a better idea to transplant the ladies into new soil or flush?
I am measuring the soil with a soil tester (i know crap but its all I got) and the water with a pool PH kit. Soil is registering 7.5 1" down and 8+ 6" down. My RO water measures at an even 7.
I do not understand the process of lowering the soil PH after a plant is growing in the pot? I understand that you can water your plants using adjusted water to get it down.. How much water? How often? Am I using the best method to check soil PH? Would using run off and checking the PH, with the pool kit, be better?
If transplanting what soil is best to use that I can get at walmart or homedepot? Is organic easier or harder to actually grow using soil? After this grow I will be using better soil and better lighting as well.
Please help me get through this grow with some yield.
