Soil nutes in DWC?

Hello guys, haven't posted here in a while. I've been searching and I couldn't find anything about my issue. I have been growing in soil for a while and I wanna try DWC now, I have everything I need except hydro nutes. I have plenty of soil nutes laying around and I was wondering if I could use them for my DWC setup. Has anyone else tried this?

Nope, you need hydro nutes. The majority of the N must come from nitrate, not urea. It must also provide calcium in the form of calcium nitrate.
