soil and other plants

I have a small out door grow the problem is that were im set up is a little sandy but has a good amount of water flowing through and i was wandering since moss (which the ground around is covered with) holds water would having moss close and around my plants help them or hurt them in any way?

Moss and sand? Hmmmmm… It’s what is underneath the top layer that counts, have you verified what other types of plants are growing in the same area/conditions, weed can do well in many different environments but make sure it’s not too damp, I have always planted mine in local soil with no amending and they have always been monsters, they just suck up whatever they can find, the surrounding vegetation will give you the best clue, if you’ve got lots of annual lush weeds in the same are you will be fine! In the summer damp soil can be an advantage in hot weather but come fall it could give you early root rot, best of luck!

its a little wierd under the layer of moss and sand is decomposing grasses and leaves other than that is well sandy some areas are better than others though
