OK, this is going to be a bit winded, but what I want to know is:
I have 2 rooms that can be used, one with 8x8 usable and the other is 10x10 usable, both have closets that can be used with floros and some kinda of tank setups for cloning, while leaving the main area for the hid lights and main growth area. At first I thought cool one for veg and one for bloom, but as I'm putting my pre-plan together, I'm thinking that the offset of sizing is going to mess up my sog, and since both rooms have such large area's, what growing technique would give me the most efficient, and economical use of the areas?
having said that, I have used the sog before but I used a soil setup and hand watered, in the 8x8 size area. I am unsure on using sog with any hydro setup, and how the offset in the size of rooms would play into the timing of sog.
I have some options on lighting of each area, the smaller 8x8 could have a 400, a 600 or 1K mh conversion bulb, (i have each hps ballast) or some combination of floros and mh, and the larger area (10x10) I was planning 2 1k hps, all with glass tubes for venting.
not knowing what strain I will be using, how can I go about estimating my turnaround times for cloning (impossiable i no) and knowing how many cuttings to cut to fill 1/4 or 1/6 area needed for each 2 or 3 week cycle? and how many plants I need to fill the needed area for the bloom area as well.
So what I'm saying is knowing that my veg area is smaller than my bloom, but not knowing what strain i will be using, how can I est how many plants I will need to properly fill my bloom area to keep on schedule based on sog?
Secondary I'm asking what type of growing setup would work best in these size areas using sog. I want to use a system that is going to allow for the least amount of overhead, ie: bags of soil, large quantites of small containers..
