soaking Rockwool Cubes!

What's the deal with the Rockwool cubes soaking in 5.5 pH water...I did a batch of 2" cubes in KLN + Protekt (5 ml each per gal)..left my pH very high ~ 9.5...no pre soak or anything...had great roots in about a week

Grodan is set to release the updated package soon if they haven't already. It's been changed. You don't need to do the ph pre soak any more.

lol, i've never done a pre-soak.

have great success with clones.

I keep hearing about this..this was on a pack that DID specify Pre-soak though .. That's cool..ive used Oasis over rockwool because of the pre soak just taking up all that extra time..

my pre-soak consists of dipping my cubes in and out of the closest reservoir, lol

Sweet..so the package should be a little updated with no "pre soak" instructions I'm assuming

No it's been changed for a long time. They just waited to change the packaging.

If you use rockwool in a flood and drain or dwc type hydro system it can change the ph of your rez if they're not soaked first.
