Soaked my gravity bong in bleach last night..

as well as the jug in the center of it, and now after washing the both of them off this morning, im a little hesitant to hit this shit.. can bleach in your bong water be baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad news or just bad news? :o
 
I would rinse the hell out of that. I know you can pass out from inhaling chlorine - and most bleach is chlorine bleach.
 
Yeah...definitely rinse it VERY good. And let it sit for at least 24 hours so the bleach evaporates and what not.
You do not...and i repeat...do not want to be smoking bleach fumes and what not...
 
Bad idea wash the shit out of that thing. I'd get hot water and soap(not ammonia) and scrub that shit like an OCD meth-head. Chemicals from bleach can cause your lungs to collapse if inhaled.
 
for future reference regardless of what you are using to smoke with the best method for cleaning resin is industrial glass cleaner (home depot/lowe's) undilluted and water softener salt. I used to think rubbing alcohol and rice or sea salt was the way to go but we did a side by side test and the glass cleaner method gets it so clean you could throw it back on the shelf in the store. Alcohol always leaves a trace of resin and a little bit of a smokier color on the glass by comparison.

I might have to try this out. I have been going through alcohol like a drunk since I got my RooR. It does a great job but since I havent found gallons for sale I might try something like http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=79524-380-11301&lpage=none because I am annoyed having 5 bottles of rubbing alcohol laying around.

You say undiluted? How much do you use? Alcohol is still MUUUUUCH cheaper...

I'll give it a try. I cant stand dirty glass.
 
Bleach is commonly used in the restuarant industry as a quick sanitizer on knives and cutting boards. However it is slighty diluted 50/50. we simply use the hot water and bleach to wipe the blades or the cutting board then rinse again with fresh water then dry and use again. You should be able to use your bong as soon as u rinse it out well with hot water with no slippery feel to the glass . Enjoy. 24 yr Restuarant Management expierience certified chef. Blue dove and hot water for my bongs and I boil anything that fits into my pan. I don't like using chemicals on my glass. Its just coincodence but they break shortly after I clean with anything but water. Plus if its hard times the resin is smokable from boiling just gotta dry it. I aint smokin no alcohol infused resin. Lol.

Alcohol evaporates very easily too. So you can smoke alcohol resin, its called hash oil:-P (just not with resin)

Id wash that thing out for a couple minutes then probably do a boiling water rinse and then smoke away.

I don't know how much I use exactly a couple ounces. I will usually rinse the bong with really hot water a few times then leave the base about a half full of hot water then fill the rest of the base with glass cleaner. So I guess it's not undilluted it's actually about 50/50 but mixed inside the bong.

The method is very effective but I don't know on cost as I get cleaning products free through my roommates job. He mixes cleaning chemicals in a warehouse.
 
You know that Orange Clean stuff you've probably seen on TV? Use some of that, a little water(hotter, the better), and salt. Then shake for a few minutes! Works great.

haha, I've hit it a few times since I posted that. Everything is Ooooookay guys. my jug is bright white now ;)
