so i watched that BFV video and did a few days of reading and i think im going to pick up a syringe and try doing 10 1/2 pints. is Psilocybe cubensis : B+ a good strain for a beginner? i saw someone else was growing some on a thread here the other day so thats why that popped in my head lol and i like the way they look when fruiting. i know about all cubensis is good but wasnt sure if that was best for the brown flour verm cake method.

thanks for the input!

Yeah that'll be fine... Are you just looking to make this a one time experiment and just get a little bit of shrooms to mess with??? Because if not, and you might continue to grow mushrooms, then you should skip passed the pf cake method. I can't believe it became so popular to be honest.

first time is an experiment to make sure i can control contamination and do it then il invest in pressure cookers and such and using jars to colonate other jars im guessing. dont want to go all in just to screw everything up right off the bat.

i cant believe pf tek got so popular either, bulk spawn to 10 gal tubs is where its at, much easier process too.

yes op b+ would be a great choice for a starter. and most others will seem small in comparison afterwards

If you wanted to go cheap and quick, you should have looked at the stikey on the top of this thread. And B+ is the best for new folks, resiliant, quick to grow, potent enough and it can get rather large.
