So whats the story with bagseeds

As the title says ,I got a bag of weed or so I thought the other week and it was full of seeds ,so I germinated some of them and 2 are already growing well .So what i want to know is it worth while growing these or are they definitely going to hermie or be male or is there a chance that I could get some good females
I wouldn't ask but since joining RIU I notice a lot of people growing "bagseed" so what is the craic with bagseed
I have Big buddha Cheese and Special Kush #1 waiting to germ but thought i would give this bagseed a go ,Is it a waste of time or what?

how was the smoke you got the seeds from?it may have had seeds because the grower had males that did not get tossed fast enough.

It was ok nothing spectacular ,I was thinking that myself about there being males in the grow rather than the plant hermie ,does that give it a better chance of having male and female seeds :dunce:

no they wont all be hermies, they are just normal seeds. some will be female but not that many in bagseed, prolly half best case scenario

it will make normal weed, not great but still good if taken care of....i think.....

got some bagseed going now and its lookin good so far

keep in mind if the bud was loaded with seeds and you grow it out seedless the smoke is going to be way more killer than the original sac just based on that alone. if the original sac sucked then i guess that's not saying much.

and there's nothing wrong with bag seed and the quality of the weed it came from has nothing to do with how your crop will be.
and i don't know what the hell i did but my bag seed is like 10 inches tall and i just started flowering. which has really increased the growth. but don't take this as my saying bag seed sucks. im sure it'll be good if you grow it right. just takes a lil lovin. subbed btw

I have two bagseed girls flowering now and they look SEXY....Not saying yours will turn out like that(hope they do) I think if you grow it right the buds will come out just fine. I also have a budda cheese bagseed and a bean from some cali buds my grandfather gave me. you can check out the link in my sig

whats up,i just finish up my first grow it was bagseed they were all stretched out and i had a hard time getting the nutes right,but out of the 6 seeds i planted 5 were female i just jared up 3 plants after they dried and have 162 grams and the best 2 are still drying .i learned a lot and my second grow needs a few more weeks but i think i might get a pound this time i did 10 plants and they look great.

my 3rd set of plants is now budding i did 10 hempy buckets and there monsters its going to be the best set by a long shot(EDIT TO ADD PICS)this is 2 pics of grow 2 and 2 pics of grow 3.. i'm getting better every time for sure.

Bag seeds should generally be the same quality as the weed you get it from

However there is always a very very small chance you will hit the super phenotype which is far superior. But, don't count on it. You're more likely to hit the lottery, especially if the weed was average and full of seeds

So out of the 8 plants I gave 2 away which are doing great and my 6 left which are looking promising
I have a friend who is growing under a 600w and when he is flowering I'm going to put a Clone from each of mine in with his and wait to see what sexes I have then throw the males away then i should have just females left

Not a notion your guess is as good as mine ,as it was my regular bloke was waiting and a mate knew a fella who could get some off another bloke so I ask for a quarter 7 grams(75 yoyo's) but the cheeky little cunt didn't know I had scales and his face dropped when I took them out it was barely 4 grams and at least a gram of seeds so I gave him 40 and a slap upside the head
But the smoke was actually OK ,melted my head
I gave another 2 of them away today leaving me 4 and room for mooooooore so I am right now getting 2 of the Special Kush No.1 ready to germ :mrgreen:
