Hi
I'm about to start my first grow.
My problem is that I can't seem to find a HPS relector in town.
Or even a socket. I found the 250 watt lights at home depot
but everywhere else can't help me.

Can someone point me to a good site or even a link to get JUST a relector W/ mugol Socket.

i would just go order one but i would hate to buy the wrong product. I have read alot all around the forum and I can see that you all obviously know better.

Help me out pleasee and thanks.

What do you mean you found the 250w lights at HD, complete with ballast or just the bulb...HID lighting needs a ballast to start up...

It's cool, maybe he doesn't wanna order online...I was reluctant for a long time...then I bought a 400w HPS, reflector, and ballast combo, and it shipped in 2 days for 150 bucks...I think I'll be ordering from them again!

But if you don't wanna order online, you're pretty much stuck with 70--100w MH and HPS floodlights, in HD or Lowes...They're self-ballasted, but you definately cannot just plug a mogul socket into the wall, screw in a 250w HPS or MH, and turn it on...It won't work.

its an hps. I live in a really ghetto city in texas. There was a period of time where head shops and waterpipes were banned. HD only had the bulbs and nowhere else that I went to could supply JUST the reflector setup. thats basically all im looking for but it seems alot of places online only have a full setup Which raises the price alot. But thanks i'll deff check those links.

you know you need a ballast (transformer) too ? HPS operates at 50,000 volts
