SNS-217 vs Zero Tolerance==>Experiences.

:leaf:So I have heard good things about "Sierra Natural Science's or SNS-217" COMPARED WITH "Ed Rosenthal's Zero Tolerance" about coating the plant with a safely used oil to suffocate eggs and prevent them from hatching and killing live mites. I was just wondering what kind of experience you guys have with this and any advice you could give because everything else just isn't as effective. I have used insecticide soaps, neem, water, azamax and bombs. But anyways, let me know what you think, thanks !:leaf:

I have used both. They don't have long term benefits. Miticides are by far the best. Floramite SC has worked wonders for me. As for Super Mites, I hear Floramite does not work as well as Forbid. Forbid supposedly works with ALL mites. Floramite is suppose to too though. I had great success. I have heard 2 diff stories on whether Floramite is an ovacide(kills eggs), or not. Eggs are the problem. Also, the BioWave helps a lot with scaring away mites and anything else along with em. Maintainence with neem is pretty standard I think. I have used neem since day 1. Oh and don't forget to spray your soil, eggs land in the dirt too. Bombing the room with CO2 helps too. Miticides can be used in conjunction with predators though! It's crazy man, there as many ways to grow as there are growers. This is just MY experience.

Hope this helps,
Neb

So you've had success with Floramite and Forbid, have you used Zero Tolerance or SNS-217 because the SNS is supposedly food grade safe and applies the same concept of neem where it is supposed to layer and prevent eggs from hatching. Just what I have heard though. I've used a lot of different things on top of feeding with pesticides to destroy whatever is in the soil. So, I always change things up as I know they build a tolerance, but just looking to find something that is more efficient outside of neem and azamax.

I have used it. I have used it a couple times. It works alright, but I don't think it works well. They key is preventative maintenance. Neem works well for that. I use miticides because I don't have time to fuck around with battling spider mites. Use AVID, Floramite or Forbid. I cycle them all. You see, spider mites are hardcore. The problem should never be taken lightly. I just got rid of them again. Got my new clones from my buddies garden. There were eggs all over them. The plants have been vegging 3 weeks and have 0 signs of mites. If I see eggs or mites again(they come out when your lights kick off), I have a corn cob green led bulb that helps them jump out, I'll spray with Mighty Wash over anything. It is food grade safe, too. I buy 5 gallons at a time, helps with powder too! Thats just me man. Everyone has a different concoction.

Avid, specifically, kills off leaf miners, thrips, aphids and white flys, also. You will battle these mother fuckers till you give up, unless you use a miticide. Mighty wash is the only thing that seriously comes close.

For sure I mean the only pests I honestly have had to deal with is the lovely hardcore mites. I can't afford to eff around either, I have to big of a setup, so guess my best bet would be to cycle floramite, forbid and avid while using mighty wash. Yeah I always attack with a green light while the lights are off, so if you say that's the best bet and you've had success after spotting eggs that'll be my route.

Please do yourself a favor. Also, over the years, best thing for powder is Eagle 20. Also, very toxic, use gloves and don't have your fans on(obviously). Shit is nasty. Works very very well though. Powder sucks just as bad as mites. It is supposedly a carcinogen?!

So of course Floramite, Avid and Forbid along with mighty wash works well, but what about half way through flowering ? Then what ?....
