Smoking and chemotherapy.

Just wondered if anybody has known of anyone who has benefited from smoking to counteract the side effects of chemotherapy?
 
I personal know of one lady who was dieing due to lack of food. The smoke helped curb the pain and she survived!
 
Well I smoked while going through chemo....taxol chemo....Nasty nasty nasty stuff. Did it benefit me? Yes, without a doubt. After treatment I would feel like I was going to die. At the time they offered an anti nausea pill, which I could not afford(it cost $100. a pill) and it wasn't covered by insurance.
My sister and I were diagnosed 90 days apart (my poor parents) she and I both smoked to help us. It helped both of us tremendously.

For sure. The neasua like jtreuth was saying was terrible. The worst feeling in the world that I have experienced. The pill they give you doesn't really work all that great. I had to take the 100$ a day pill, it was the only one that worked for vomiting. Pot helped the most, more than anything else for pain, vomiting, appitite, sleeping, and overall mental well being. It is the maricle drug for chemo.
 
Im glad to here that those of you it helped are better now. My wifes mother has just started 7months of chemo and after 6weeks now she is struggling. I dont think she will smoke but we may be able to convince her to eat small amounts. She is incredibly straight laced though so not sure if it will work! Nothing ventured.......Thanks again.

It is so important to keep her stress levels at a minimal.
I don't know how active she is, but, I love Yoga. It is a great way to
release stress.
When I was going through my issues, my doctor recommended smoking pot. This guy was the head of OB/GYN Oncology and very straight laced. I think you would be surprised what her doctor may have to say about it. If she is totally against the idea, turn her on to Yoga.
