Anyone smoked after having some sort of surgery? i had a vasectomy yesterday:spew: and the night before i smoked some really good sat. that i just got and was seriously fucked up. well i got a local anestetic yesterday with my vas and when i came home last night try as i might i could only get a little high no matter how many bowls i smoked. the only thing i can figure out is that some thing in the anestetic was causing me not to get high? anyone else experience that?

never have, after back surgery smoked 3 bowls never felt better mj has 2 many medical uses 2 be held back by polifucks

knee surg 2months ago, weed helps so much

just think..................................no more condoms,more sex, more:hump:,more fun

I've had 8 major ops..and the smoke always helped.. One DR. even said it was better then the shit they give you for pain... Where its different is that morphine..etc makes you sleep..weed gets you stoned, but curious, so you get up and about faster..My last of three hip replacements.I woke up at 10 am and was in a wheelchair at the ambulance bay doing a doobie, at 3pm..Damn surgeon saw me as he was walking out, and actually winked at me...I guess I looked out of place in a wheelchair, in a snowbank, wearing hosp. gown..in February..the next day he said, "I'm glad you're up..less chance of complications... Do you still want the PCA." ? (patient controlled analg.)

i had all my wisdom teeth taken out at once, around christmas a couple years back. by the time i was able to chew again it was new years, i went out to celebrate wit some of my ppls. i was on vicadin, i was drinkin, and i was smokin like a chimney lol. i ran th risk of infection since i had open stithces n watnot. but nothin bad happened, everything healed fine.

i broke my hip in feb and was without pot for about 10 days and when i had my first puff i could feel every little pain but then a few mins later i was good to go. i have been smoking pot for over 30 yrs and i say it is the best pain medication out there

so like my wisdom tooth came out last night.. But my left cheek is swellon like a baseball. I guess. It got infected. 75% always does with those fucking wisdom tooth. And I'm dying to smoke. But wouldnt it just swell up more?

well i know that it is good for pain, but i didnt know if the anesthetic was causing me NOT to get high. when i smoked last night right after i had it done i wasnt getting high, i havent tried yet today

yea.. I tried ripping the bong right now. And I didn't get high at all :/ I think its my medicines I'm guessing or I'm just worried about my swellon cheek so much. Its not letting me I guess, I'm killing my high.

take ibuprofen bro. had 1 pulled last month, had no swelling at all. the entire thing already healed, i wouldnt smoke though. you'll be in even more pain if you do, you can risk getting dry socket. idk if thats true about 75%, most people at a young age who get them heal well and quickly. older people tend to heal at a longer pase and have more complications.

I had major ear surgery yesterday at one of the most prestigous hospitals in Boston. I smoked bowls the night before. Went in to the hospital the next morning. When the nurse was checking me in, she asked if I use cocaine or marijuana and I told her, "marijuana :leaf: - yes" (it's not good to lie to your doctors). She said, "hmm about how long ago was the last time?" I told her, "Probably about a week", just to be safe from having to get rescheduled. Her response was, "Oh yeah that's fine, as long as it wasn't this morning." I laughed and told her not to worry, that I wasn't high. LOL.

So to me, that means that they don't care if you smoke before the surgery, as long as you're not high DURING the surgery. Personally, it didn't have ANY negative effects towards the anestesia or anything else, for that matter. I also smoked the night I came home, and will continue to as it works much better for healing my pain than the 5mg Percocets they prescribed me.

It really is a miracle drug. Don't start thinking it's going to be any worse for you just because you're seeing a doctor that doesn't "reccomend" it. Unless you're having lung or throat surgery, of course, that would just be silly.

If that's sarcasm I detect, then I'm SO sorry I offended you by bumping a thread in your precious forum. I came across this thread from google, as it was something I was very concerned about and I thought I'd share my experience. Is it really necessary to whine?

DaBong - Thanks buddy.
